OED gives the etymology from educare and homework service the base Latin form would be educo but this had/has two different senses. An educator, then, is a person who helps one achieve the fullness of one’s potential without trying to impose his own viewpoints. No matter who you are if you have an education you can change the world. Even if you do not attend school as a child you might gain an education by learning from yourself and others.

This is why it is said that you never stop learning.
